Archbishop Holgate’s School
We are a successful Church of England Secondary School in York with a fully comprehensive intake. Our commitment to values, care and achievement is driven by the tenet that ‘your present circumstances don’t determine where you go; they merely determine where you start’. Alongside our commitment to inclusion, educating the whole child and fostering a unique school environment, our strong academic track record places the school in the top 5% nationally for both GCSE and A Level outcomes. We are also particularly proud of the progress that disadvantaged students make within our school.
Pathfinder Teaching School Alliance
We are an established Teaching School Alliance with a commitment to providing the very best research-based training, CPD and school-led support. Across the region we have delivered NQT, RQT, Middle and Senior Leader courses to approximately 5,000 colleagues since 2014. We have also piloted the ECT programme and train between 50 to 60 primary and secondary ITT students each year. We work in partnership with the University of York, York St John University and Sheffield Hallam University to deliver high-quality training and development, ensuring Early Career Teachers are well equipped to become outstanding practitioners.
