Working in partnership across the Ryedale, Scarborough and York region to provide high-quality training and continuous professional development for teachers at every stage of their career.

We are delighted to introduce ourselves as the Teaching School Hub for Ryedale, Scarborough and York. There are 87 Teaching School Hubs across the country operating as school-led centres of excellence, for teacher and leadership training and development. We are proud that the Pathfinder Teaching School Hub, along with our key partners, serves schools of all phases and types in our area.

Collaboration and collegiality underpin the vision and values of the Hub, which unites expertise and experience across the region. Our network of partnerships aims to facilitate the creation and delivery of high-quality, evidence based continuous professional development, benefitting colleagues at all stages of their career. We are led by experienced teachers and senior leaders who understand the importance of staff development and its impact on retention, expertise and ultimately, the life chances of the young people we are here to educate and support.

The Hub aims to be a single point of contact where you can access the region’s CPD offer. This includes ITT, the ECF, NPQs, Curriculum Hubs, Research Schools, and bespoke CPD based on local needs.

About us

Archbishop Holgate’s School

We are a successful Church of England Secondary School in York with a fully comprehensive intake. Our commitment to values, care and achievement is driven by the tenet that ‘your present circumstances don’t determine where you go; they merely determine where you start’. Alongside our commitment to inclusion, educating the whole child and fostering a unique school environment, our strong academic track record places the school in the top 5% nationally for both GCSE and A Level outcomes. We are also particularly proud of the progress that disadvantaged students make within our school.
