Session overview
Fire lighting practice with a range of spark to flame techniques available to try, including different fuel and flint-steels etc.
We will get to the point of a small sustained flame that can be extinguished quickly. If you have kit to show or skills to share please come along – the more we see as a group the more likely we’ll find something that will work best for our settings.
Please come dressed appropriately for an outdoor session, bribery refreshments provided.
A diverse group meeting half termly to discuss and have a go at a wide range of activities that would be useful to those running Forest School and other Outdoor Learning experiences in schools and other settings in and around the York area. A mixture of indoor meetings and outdoor more practical sessions based on current issues and the CPD needs of the group.
