Session overview
This one hour online session will look in more detail at strategies raised in the Adaptive Teaching programme to help pupils sustain attention.
Session aims
Delegates will consider
- a range of research-informed strategies to support pupil attention during whole class teaching, including clarity of instructions, dual coding, hand signs and beat gestures, timing, reducing distractors.
- Consider how these strategies may particularly help pupils with potential barriers to learning such as ADHD, autism, slow processing, dyslexia.
NB. Delegates should join the session on a device with working camera and microphone.
