Session overview

This session will consider how we manage performance effectively and equip delegates with the skills to manage the performance of those they manage in a supportive and inspiring way. We will consider how we should observe lessons, what form feedback should take, as well as how we should manage challenging conversations with colleagues.

Session aims

  1. Learn ways of managing and leading colleagues and knowing what the difference is between these concepts and ways of working.
  2. Understand and practice ways of having difficult conversations
  3. Understand, apply and evaluate what setting effective targets for performance management can look like.
  4. Be able to evaluate the impact you have on your colleagues and your students.
