Session overview

This online half day will give Y3 and Y4 teachers an opportunity to plan their teaching of writing over the year, to ensure children are supported to develop their skills in both transcription and composition in a staged and structured way. Drawing on research, and distilling evidence-based practice in the effective teaching of writing, the session will include guidance on developing handwriting, spelling, grammar, punctuation, vocabulary and an understanding of the process of composition, in the context of a rich and vibrant primary curriculum.
