Preparing for the phonics screening check

Session aims

This afternoon session will:

• prepare teachers to administer the statutory phonics screening check in Y1 or Y2
• support teachers in preparing children for the check and in analysing the outcomes.

Teachers should bring with them the outcomes of any recent phonics assessments they have undertaken with their class.
