Termly network sessions for English subject leaders in primary schools

Session aims

• Keep up to date with local, national and international information, research, initiatives and resources relevant to primary English;
• Engage in CPD on key aspects of subject leadership, teaching and provision;
• Share best practice and issues arising.
• Network with colleagues.

As agreed in the summer, this autumn session will have a main focus on oracy, including the most recent publications of the Oracy Education Commission.

Suitable for

Primary English / literacy subject leaders and anyone interested in English teaching in primary school

Course leader:  Alison Bailey, Pathfinder consultant trainer

Alison has worked as an advisor and consultant  for 32 years  on all aspects of primary English across several local authority areas. She was involved in the development of the Phonics Screening Check, and her PhD was on factors impacting the successful roll out of a research-informed phonics strategy.
