About this event
Word Aware is a whole school approach for teaching vocabulary. It is research driven, highly practical and effective. It is based upon three basic principles: get children excited about words, teach the most important words and facilitate word learning strategies.
Session 1: will focus on the underlying principles, the word learning environment and teaching words selected from books shared with the class.
Session 2: will cover teaching topic related words including early verbal concepts, word learning strategies and implementation.
