Yorkshire Endeavour English Hub – Vocabulary Ninja – with Andrew Jennings
This session will cover a range of reading comprehension strategies including skimming and scanning, key words, key information and the effective retrieval of information, as well as sequencing information. The session will also cover books themselves and make some suggestions towards some of the best children’s literature out there to support the reading and writing process in school.
Andrew Jennings is the author of the best selling series Vocabulary Ninja and Comprehension Ninja, which include books for teachers as well as workbooks for practice at home. Andrew is a vastly experienced teacher and school leader, while his innovative ninja-themed resources are used in thousands of classrooms across the world.
