Session overview
This short, focused, online training session will cover the key elements to consider when making statutory teacher assessments of writing standards at Y6 in 2022.
If more guidance is needed for teachers new to Y6, or inexperienced in summative assessment, or if more in-depth, interactive, discussion based CPD on this topic is preferred, the face-to-face afternoon session Moderation of writing assessments at Y6 should be selected instead.

- Clarity on a suitable evidence base for assessments;
- Techniques to develop and assure independence;
- Deepen understanding of the national expectations at each standard within statutory assessment of writing at end of KS2;
