Session overview
This short, focused, online session will give practical guidance on evidence-based approaches that maximise the chances of children remembering and retaining the spelling of words and spelling ‘rules’ they have been taught.
Session aims
- Understand the challenges involved in learning to spell in English;
- Gain a repertoire of evidence-based approaches to the teaching and practising of spelling to promote increased retention for children and the development of automaticity.
