Pathfinder ITT
Pathfinder Teaching School Hub delivers Primary and Secondary Initial Teacher Training. The full time courses take one school year to complete, leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).

How to apply
Applications for Schools Direct Teaching Courses are made through GOV.UK. Once the application has been made, applicants will be invited for an interview day at Pathfinder where you will have the opportunity to learn more about the course.

Find out how you can get up to 10 days experience in our school as part of your preparation for applying to train to become a teacher, as well as free access to an adviser.
Subject Knowledge Enhancement
Don’t hold back from applying for teacher training in maths, physics, chemistry, computing, design and technology or a language because of a lack of confidence in the level of your subject knowledge. You may still be able to train to teach these subjects (and be eligible for the bursaries they attract) by building up or refreshing your existing knowledge with a free Subject Knowledge Enhancement (SKE) programme. Currently we offer SKE in science.
